National Highway 1 is one of the oldest and most prominent national highways of India, which links New Delhi to Pakistan border. It starts from New Delhi and ends in the town of Atari in Punjab.
The Eastern Peripheral Expressway or Kundli–Ghaziabad–Palwal Expressway (KGP Expressway) is a 135 km long, 6-lane wide expressway passing through Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Along with Western Peripheral Expressway it completes the largest Ring Road around Delhi.
Delhi – Panipat RRTS Line is a 103 km long proposed semi-high speed rail line connecting Delhi – Sonipat – Panipat through a series of tunnels and elevated viaducts as part of the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS). The line is one of the three early bird (Phase 1) lines to be developed by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation where trains will run up to a maximum speed of 160 km/hr to cover the entire distance in 1 hour.
NH1 Delhi-Panipat Highway
This expressway called Panipat Elevated Expressway Project opened to the public in June 2008 , is 10 km long and runs on the National Highway 1bringing down the time for driving on this stretch by 40 minutes. This expressway was constructed with a view to lessen the burden of traffic felt on busy Delhi - Amritsar Road.
